So after flashing my Galaxy Y with stock rom, I’m still left with the question of how to get rid of my google account. Since i’m already using a stock rom, I could just sign in with the account I want to sign in with my talk application.
It would have been easy just like that however, all my backups where in my other account, This is the cause of the problem. I need two accounts, One for android play, and other phone applications and another account for my talk application.
I found have a solution for what I need. I’m going to outline the solution here. It works with fresh flashed devices or new phones.
1) 1st account should be the account you want to sign in with talk
2) add another account, the one you will be using for play.
3) Open play and choose the account you want to use for transactions with them.
Seems easy, however my previous problem would not be addressed by this solution since my first account was the one I use for play and the second account is the one I wanted to use for talk. What to do if you are in this situation? You cannot delete your first account by ordinary means, doing so normally will show a prompt that to delete the account, you need to reset to factory settings. This is not good as you will lose a lot of customizations.
These are the steps in solving the problem.
1) delete all your accounts
2) follow the steps outline for new phones/fresh flashed phones
To delete all accounts we need the following.
1) A file manager capable browsing system files.
2) Your device needs to be rooted.
There are a lot of file managers which can gain root privileges. My favorite is the ES File Explorer, Its free and has a lot of functionality.
1.1) Open up ES File Explorer
1.2) navigate to /data/system/
1.3) select accounts.db
1.4) delete accounts.db
1.5) open play then setup your accounts.
